  • Favourite - mapped data point

  • Device - BACnet controller containing BACnet objects

  • Equipment - Digital representation of the physical equipment on-site. Each equipment will likely have favourites associated with them.

  • Common Equipment - Also referred to as Shared Equipment or Related Equipment. This refers to a placeholder equipment that has favourites shared between multiple physical equipment, such as a common chilled water leaving temperature sensor.

  • BACER - CIM’s data acquisition device. Capable of communicating with BACnet/IP devices, API connections, and SQL connections via on-site infrastructure.

  • VACER - Any method of ingesting data without using a BACER (CIM’s on-site hardware - see above).

  • Metadata - A tag for any data point to indicate what the data values would represent, such as VAV Zone Temperature Sensor.

  • Metadata Type - Type of equipment such as Chiller or Air Handling Unit.

  • Meters - Specific metadata type for power sub meters, water meters, gas meters that can be utilised for additional dashboards. Other properties include the ability to aggregate data into common outputs such as daily, monthly, or annual totals.

  • Clone - CIM’s method for duplicating commissioning across identical equipment

  • Sheet commissioning - CIM’s spreadsheet style data mapping method

  • LEGO Check - reviews each piece of equipment and flags anything "unexpected" before rules are deployed.

  • Rules Baseline - based on the points available and favourites mapped, we list out the minimum, standard, and optimal rules that can be deployed on a site.
