The CIM rules engine evaluates building performance at the system level to detect irregularities. For the engine to function effectively, all preceding setup steps must be completed. These include:
Defining parent-child relationships between equipment
Mapping the correct data points
Setting appropriate operational hours
This setup ensures the engine can accurately relate equipment operations and detect issues reliably.
Rules Coverage and Deployment
Once a site is fully configured in PEAK, CIM can generate a report outlining:
The expected rules coverage
Any missing metadata required to enhance coverage
If the rules in the report are deemed suitable, CIM can proceed to schedule them for mass deployment across the site. This mass deployment feature is currently on the roadmap for future integration directly within PEAK.
Bespoke Rule Creation
Partners are encouraged to create bespoke rules tailored to specific site needs. CIM is available to review these rules as needed. Once created, these custom rules remain reusable across other sites.
To ensure alert quality, rules should be designed to maximise confidence levels in the results. For in-depth guidance, partners can request a dedicated training session with CIM.
Coming Soon
A comprehensive guide detailing the rule creation process is currently in development and will be released soon.
