Viewing comfort scores for critical levels and zones

Step 1: Visit dashboard portfolio

  • Navigate to Dashboard > Portfolio section

  • Click View site details

  • See comfort scores for each level

  • Click on the level name to drill down to see individual zone comfort scores

  • Contact CIM Support via support@cim.io to request naming updates to specific levels, for example “Level 7 (NABERS IE)”

Step 2: Show critical level and zone comfort scores

  • Scroll down to view thermal comfort by zone for given Level

  • Assign someone to investigate a poor performing zone by clicking the Action button

Exporting annual temperature data

Step 1: Visit charts

  • Navigate to the Charts section

  • Select the desired Site

  • Choose the relevant Equipment. Use the quick search text to find critical sensors - for example, “NABERS IE”

Step 2: Select favourites

  • Select the Favourite (sensor point) “Variable Air Volume Zone Temperature”

Step 3: Clone selected favourites

  • Click the copy icon to clone the selected favourites.

  • Search for additional temperature equipment. Use keywords to search for already tagged equipment - for example, “NABERS IE”.

  • Select additional equipment and click Copy.

Step 4: Update date range

  • Find csv download in your browser downloads folder.

Bonus: Adding reference lines

  • Add reference lines to visualise target IEQ bounds. For example, NABERS IE Min and Max Target of 21.0°C and 24.9°C

  • Click Chart settings and scroll to the bottom of the panel

  • Click Add Reference Line

  • Select Horizontal tab

  • Enter Y-axis value, for example "21"

  • Enter Label, for example "NABERS IE Min Target"

  • Click Add then Draw Chart

Tagging temperature sensors

To update critical IEQ levels and sensors email your CIM account manager or CIM Support via support@cim.io the latest list of levels and sensors, for example:

  • Level 1 East Zone - VAV-01-02

  • Level 1 West Zone - VAV-01-06

  • Level 5 West Zone - VAV-05-06

Having the correct critical IEQ sensor list kept up to date is important, as site facility managers and technicians will be sent alerts when these sensors fault.

Requesting NABERS IE Level Reports

CIM Premium customers and their assessors can request the generation of a NABERS IE Level report. Please contact your CIM account manager or contact CIM Support via support@cim.io.

Example NABERS IE Level Report

Summary:

Report summarising monthly % data completeness and thermal comfort scores for all sensors across NABERS IE levels across the past 12 months. Quick links included for easy export of annual temperature log data.

Objective of report:

Assist NABERS IE consultant to identify alternative VIP sensors when performing assessments, due to incomplete data or poor scores.

Explanation of metrics:

  • site_name: selected site

  • equipment: name of equipment associated with zone temperature sensor as labelled in PEAK. NABERS IE VIP sensors as nominated by the NABERS IE consultant are labelled with a suffix (NABERS IE)

  • level: floor name. NABERS IE VIP levels as nominated by the NABERS IE consultant are labelled with a suffix (NABERS IE)

  • metric:

    • % data completeness: proxy measure for missing data, measured as percentage of weekdays during the month that reported an average daily temperature score reading

    • % score: proxy measure for thermal comfort score compliance, measured as % of readings that fall between 21.0 and 24.9 degrees celsius on weekdays within building hours

  • date: % data completeness or thermal comfort score for the given month

  • link: shortcut chart link that loads past 12 months of zone temp data for given sensor for easy export
