What are 'Impact' labels?
We have introduced 'Impact' labels to PEAK to make it easier and faster to identify the impact of each alert. The 'Impact' is applied at the rule level and applies to any alerts that are linked to the rule. Alert tickets will display the 'Impact' label in Alerts > Site page (see image below). Actions created from these alerts will also inherit the 'Impact' label at the time of their creation.
We have introduced six different ‘Impact’ labels:
Energy: Addresses electricity and gas waste, including early/overnight operation, incorrect setpoints, etc. Existing rule templates labelled as 'Energy Saving' and 'Energy Waste' fit here, along with issues like NMI spikes and broken energy sub-meters.
Reliability: Covers equipment failures, broken sensors, leaks, dirty filters, and broken switches.
Comfort: Involves issues like insufficient cooling or heating and extreme zone temperatures.
Safety: Encompasses high/broken CO2 sensors, car park ventilation issues, high legionella temperatures, and broken pumps.
Water: Involves broken water meters, unusual overnight water usage, and spikes in water meter readings.
Other: Covers anything else that falls outside of the five main labels.
How can I add/update an 'Impact' label?
'Impact' labels are added at the rule level and apply to all linked alerts, so admin access is required to update them. If in doubt let us know and we can update this for you.
To add/update an 'Impact' label:
Go to Alerts > Templates > Search for the template you want to update >Edit Template (pencil icon)
Select an 'Impact' for the template > Apply changes > Save and approve / Submit for approval
'Impact' labels for rules are automatically synced with alerts but not with actions. To change the impact label for an action ticket you can manually edit the action ticket and update the 'Impact' field.
What if I can't find the right 'Impact' label for my rule/alert?
We have started with six 'Impact' labels that allow us to categorize all our current alerts. We will update the list of labels as we start introducing new types of rules and monitoring different types of equipment. Please reach out if you have any questions or want to request new labels to be added.
