Guide for setting up alert notifications and managing preferences

This guide provides instructions for setting up the most common default Alert Notifications for your site. These alerts help ensure that facilities managers, contractor and engineering teams receive timely and relevant information about priority issues.

How to Setup Alert Notifications

  1. Navigate to the Alerts Page: Go to the "Alert notifications" section and click on "Create notification".

  2. Title: Copy and paste the relevant title from the table below. Consider adding an emoji to make the notifications more engaging.

  3. Trigger: Select "Alerts on selected equipment and rules" from the trigger options.

  4. Trigger Filters: Apply the relevant filters from the table below to ensure accurate priority notifications.

  5. Notification: Choose which users (FM, contractors, engineering teams, etc.) should be notified when the alert matching the conditions is triggered.

  6. Save: Click "Save" to create the notification.

Select all equipment names serving VIP tenants. Tip: Most equipment names will include the floor that it serves.

How to Pause Alert Notifications

  1. Navigate to the Alerts Page: Go to "Alert notifications" in the top right.

  2. Toggle ON/ OFF: Click the toggle "SENDING NOTIFICATIONS" to toggle notifications ON/ OFF. Note, that Alerts will still trigger and be visible on the Alerts Page even when notifications are paused.

How to Unsubscribe From Alert Notifications

Option 1 - Unsubscribe from all Alert Notifications

  1. Find an email you received from an Alert Notification.

  2. Click on the link to change your notification preferences or click this shortcut link.

  3. Select "No notifications" for your given site.

Option 2 - Unsubscribe from specific Alert Notifications

  1. Navigate to the Alerts page and click on "Alert notifications".

  2. Click on a specific notification you want to unsubscribe from.

  3. Click Edit. Scroll down to Notification > People to notify and deselect specific users.

  4. Click Save to update changes.
